PatientSites Field Notes
May 2026

Learn more about what we're building this month, what we're learning from our work with physical therapy clinics around the world, and where we're heading in the future.

New type of visibility into PatientSites

Every month, our team will publish a quick snapshot of what we’re seeing in the field, what we have worked on, and what we’re working on next. This “field note” is designed to help you learn from our insight into physical therapy marketing and get more visibility into our roadmap.

May was a month of focusing on testing new features that will be released soon, along with some minor updates to the system to improve the user experience and add more functionality. As always, we also focused on performance and infrastructure upgrades, and making sure the tools you rely on every day are faster, simpler, and more predictable.

What We’re Seeing in the Field

A few patterns stood out this month:
  • Content is still king for search rankings. Search algorithms have evolved over the years, but one thing that remains constant is the importance of having high-quality, unique, and valuable content on your website.
  • Clinics should have dedicated pages for each location. If you have multiple locations, consider setting up dedicated pages for each location. These pages help clinics target specific cities where each location exists, driving more visibility in search results.
  • More focus on patient outcomes, less focus on services offered. The number one thing that patients care about are results after they see a physical therapist. Focusing on things like “get back to running pain-free” is a better messaging angle than “we offer physical therapy”.

What We Worked On This Month

Here’s what went live in May:
  • Thumbnails are now supported for Pinterest
  • The social scheduling system now supports uploading thumbnails to be published along with any videos that are scheduled to Pinterest.
  • Improved stability for email editor system
  • Our development team has made changes to the way the email editor loads and stores images, creating more stability for users and improving the overall user experience.

What We’re Testing Right Now

We’re currently experimenting with:
  • Google Business Profile features to help you manage your profile, analyze your performance, and reply to reviews. The testing continues with a group of beta users, with an expected launch for all users in the coming weeks.
  • LLMS file generation that helps AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, etc., better understand your business and highlight important information in their results. The testing for this project is almost complete, and we expect the files to be ready by early June.

What’s Coming Next

Looking ahead, our focus for June includes:
  • Adding support for video scheduling on YouTube and TikTok
  • Adding new reporting tools for social analytics
  • Launching a new series of workshops to help you make the most of all features included in your PatientSites subscription
As always, we’re prioritizing work that directly helps clinics attract and convert more patients with less effort, while getting the most out of their subscription with us.

A big part of the work that our team focuses on every month is driven based on feedback from our clients. If there’s something you’d like us to improve, or something you think we should explore next, please don’t hesitate to reach out as we’re always open to feedback.
