PatientSites Field Notes
March 2026

Learn more about what we're building this month, what we're learning from our work with physical therapy clinics around the world, and where we're heading in the future.

New type of visibility into PatientSites

Every month, our team will publish a quick snapshot of what we’re seeing in the field, what we have worked on, and what we’re working on next. This “field note” is designed to help you learn from our insight into physical therapy marketing and get more visibility into our roadmap.

March was a month of expanding features that are available in our Essential and Growth program. We also focused on performance and making sure the tools clinics rely on every day are faster, simpler, and more predictable. A lot of this work came directly from conversations with clinics using PatientSites.

What We’re Seeing in the Field

A few patterns stood out this month:
  • “Conditions we treat” matter more than ever. Clinics with clear lists of conditions that they treat and pages to support each condition are seeing a rise in the amount of visitors they receive from Google.
  • Google still drives the majority of new patient discovery, but many clinics are underutilizing service-specific pages that answer search intent directly, with a focus on localization for their city/service area.
  • Automation works best when it feels invisible. Clinics are most satisfied when systems run quietly in the background rather than requiring frequent manual adjustments. Building automations is the best way to scale processes and improve patient satisfaction.

What We Worked On This Month

Here’s what went live in March:
  • New website templates that are designed to improve conversion
Our design and development team have released 2 new website templates with a fresh design and heavy focus on converting website visitors into patients.
  • Released a new SMS opt in feature for forms
You can now add a new field to allow visitors to opt in to receive SMS messages from clinics that are using a third-party SMS system.
  • Improving our help documentation
Our team has been working on adding new articles and updating older articles on help.patientsites.com so you can easily find

What We’re Testing Right Now

We’re currently experimenting with:
  • Auto-send newsletter feature (so you can send your newsletters without manually approving them every month)
  • Google Business Profile features to help you manage your profile, analyze your performance, and reply to reviews
  • Schema markup automation that lets you assign pre-made schemas to popular pages
These are still in testing, but will be fully released for clients in the coming weeks.

What’s Coming Next

Looking ahead, our focus for April includes:
  • New features that expand on local authentic marketing
  • Expanded automation options for clinics that want a more hands-off approach
  • Launching a new series of workshops to help you make the most of all features included in your PatientSites subscription
As always, we’re prioritizing work that directly helps clinics attract and convert more patients with less effort, while getting the most out of their subscription with us.

A big part of the work that our team focuses on every month is driven based on feedback from our clients. If there’s something you’d like us to improve, or something you think we should explore next, please don’t hesitate to reach out as we’re always open to feedback.
