PatientSites Field Notes
April 2026

Learn more about what we're building this month, what we're learning from our work with physical therapy clinics around the world, and where we're heading in the future.

New type of visibility into PatientSites

Every month, our team will publish a quick snapshot of what we’re seeing in the field, what we have worked on, and what we’re working on next. This “field note” is designed to help you learn from our insight into physical therapy marketing and get more visibility into our roadmap.

April was a month of focusing on new automations to streamline marketing efforts for our clients and testing local authentic marketing features. As always, we also focused on performance and infrastructure upgrades, and making sure the tools you rely on every day are faster, simpler, and more predictable.

What We’re Seeing in the Field

A few patterns stood out this month:
  • Authentic local videos get more engagement. Clinics that are publishing unique localized videos that are recorded in their clinic, by their staff members, are getting significantly more engagement.
  • Your Google Business Profile needs to match your website. Any discrepancy between your profile and the website creates confusion for visitors and impacts how Google ranks you in local results.
  • Replying to reviews is as important as getting them. Potential patients reading reviews want to see that you care about your patients’ experiences. We see better performance across the board for clinics that reply to all reviews, positive and negative. We also recommend acknowledging reviews that have star ratings only (without comments).

What We Worked On This Month

Here’s what went live in April:
  • Released schema markup automation
You can now auto-generate schema markups for core company pages like services, about, staff, etc. All home and contact pages have schema markups now auto-assigned to them. You can learn more about this here.
  • Released auto-send newsletter feature
You can now send your newsletters automatically without manually approving them every month by following the steps shown here.
  • New Quarterly Magazine
Our design and development team published the Spring 2026 magazine, available in digital and print format, for Content Marketing Complete subscribers.

What We’re Testing Right Now

We’re currently experimenting with:
  • Google Business Profile features to help you manage your profile, analyze your performance, and reply to reviews.
  • LLMS file generation that helps AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, etc., better understand your business and highlight important information in their results.
These are still in testing, but will be fully released for clients in the coming weeks and months.

What’s Coming Next

Looking ahead, our focus for April includes:
  • Developing new features that expand on local authentic marketing
  • Adding new reporting tools for social analytics
  • Launching a new series of workshops to help you make the most of all features included in your PatientSites subscription
As always, we’re prioritizing work that directly helps clinics attract and convert more patients with less effort, while getting the most out of their subscription with us.

A big part of the work that our team focuses on every month is driven based on feedback from our clients. If there’s something you’d like us to improve, or something you think we should explore next, please don’t hesitate to reach out as we’re always open to feedback.
